The New Septem by Shadow Silencers is our purpose built .30 caliber product designed to be one of the most versatile and rugged in its class. The Septem is a 7 baffle system made of our unique parabolic and tri-vent baffles that is optimized for .30 Caliber ballistics and a wide range of ammunition. Made from 7075 billet aluminum completely Milspec 3 hard anodized and 6AI-4V Titanium, the Septem is built to last. At 7.8125 inches, 14.2oz (full stack) with an OD of 1.575 inches the Septem is comfortable on many types of rifle applications and durable enough for the toughest conditions.
Finishes
Milspec 3 Black Hard Anodized
The Milspec 3 finish on this may well be one of the most important features and deserves a bit more explanation. The aluminum is hard coat anodized (both inside and out), which increases wear and corrosion resistance, increases surface hardness, increases the thermal properties of the aluminum and improves the ability of the metal to retain lubricants. In other words, it changes the surface to this incredibly hard metal without increasing weight. Durable enough for our military. More than durable enough for the rest of us.
